Limericks

 In class, we have been learning about limericks and different types of poems. Each person had to pick someone to write about one person.

Explain what a limerick is. A limerick is a poem that can only have up to 5 lines and the first two sentences have to rhyme then you have to change the third and fourth line because they're not allowed to rhyme with the first and second lines then you do the fifth line.

I once met a girl named Pana 

Who’s nickname was banana

She always drove me crazy

Because she was lazy

That was my friend named Pana

Erosion and meanders

 In class, we have been learning about rivers and what they do. we had to choose a partner and my partner was Pana we also had to make a creative task.

We created some slides about the topics we were doing

Figurative Language

 In class, we have been learning about figurative language and also the difference between figurative language and literal. I have found it ok with the figurative language by understanding things like show not tell etc. 

KI-O-RAHI REFLECTION

Yesterday our class, went to a ki-o-Rahi tournament at Tautoro to play against other schools. We played against Intermediate and Tautoro schools. We came 3rd overall we won 3 games and lost 3 games but overall it was very fun to be outdoor and have fun.

 In class, we have been learning about water and science. I have been learning to use the different text features to help us find the right place. The different text features we have been using are sub-heading, diagrams, etc.

In class, we have been learning how to do self-assessments.

 WALT use study the bible to gain an understanding that we all need  God's help, mercy, love and we are all called us to forgive others.

 

The Bible records many stories about "forgiving". The Lord Jesus also taught us like this: when we forgive men when they sin against us, our heavenly father will also forgive us. However, it's hard to forgive from our hearts. With God’s help you can forgive. 

 

Your assignment is to research "forgiving", in the bible and share what you learned. You will need to use reference material such as biblegateway.com or search engines to locate stories of forgiveness in the Bible.

Create your own framework to record bible references you will read, key events within it and your thoughts. In week 8 you will use this to write what you learned from the bible about forgiveness.
